Topics overview
  • Flexdrive

Flexdrive is a conversion kit developed by Maximator to reduce the air consumption of high pressure compressors. The modification can be implemented for all MAXIMATOR compressors with two air drive parts and is used in the following applications:

    • filling processes

    • testing processes

    • transfer operations

More informations about applications, versions and the benefits can be found here or in the product information.

  • Medium, sealing variants and media compatibily

The smooth functioning of the gas compressors depends on the quality of the gas used and the resistance of the seals against the pumped medium. The Maximator gas compressors are designed compressing a wide range of industrial gases.

The most common operating fluids can be found here.

  • Mode of action of the Maximator Gas Boosters

Maximator compressors are available in single- and double-acting designs.

Double-acting compressors increase capacity by approximately 50 percent compared to single-acting compressors and have reduced pulsation to the same degree.

    Single-acting                            Double-acting

  • Options and description

More information about available options and descriptions can be found here.

  • Pressure ratio & Number of air drive pistons

The compression ratio of the compressor (area ratio between air drive piston and high pressure piston) can be derived from the type designation of the respective compressor.

Depending on the series, the following model variants are available:

    One-air drive  Two-air drives    Three-air drives

Maximator compressors with two or three air drive pistons achieve 2 or 3 times the operating pressure at the same drive pressure.

These compressors can be recognized by the suffix -2 or -3. See also type designation.

  • Productkey

The product key of Maximator compressors is derived from the following parameters:

    1. Air drive size
    2. Compressor model & ratio
    3. Operating principle
    4. Number of drive pistons
    5. Connection thread on high pressure side
    6. Versions or options

    Example:
    DLE 75-1-2-GG-C

Single-stage, single-acting gas, gas compressor with two drive pistons, with G-thread connections, for carbon dioxide.

  • Temperature

The permissible operating temperatures of Maximator gas compressors are between -20 °C and +100 °C as standard, for types DLE 2 and DLE 5 between -20 °C and +60 °C due to the aluminum content in the HP part.

Please note that due to the compression of gases additional heat is produced. We therefore recommend , if necessary, to consult our application consultants.

Additional temperature options for use in other temperature ranges can be found in the here.
